** It is always recommended that you create a backup of your current data before running year end processing and/or attempting any type of merge of information into the Windows Fair Management Data.

1) A text file must be created from the 4-HPlus program.

a. The text file is produced by Clicking on a button for Export to Blue Ribbon in the 4-H Plus Program.

b. The text file generated by the 4H Plus program is named Fhbrfair.txt.

c. If assistance is needed with creating this file - contact the support contact for the 4-H Plus Software.

2) Make sure you have completed Year End Processing in Windows Fair Management.

a. Utilities – Year End Processing

b. Reset Year End Files

c. Select the appropriate Record Type

d. Enter the year of your last years fair in Last Year Exhibited

e. Click OK

3) Make sure you have deleted the 4H Exhibitors from the previous year in Windows Fair Management.

a. Utilities – Year End Processing

b. Delete Exhibitor Records

c. Click OK

4) Merge 4-H Plus information into Windows Fair Management.

a. Utilities – Merge – 4-H Plus File Merge

b. Click Merge

c. Find the Fhbrfair.txt file and select it

d. Click Open

e. The merge will start

f. Click Close when the merge has finished
