| I receive an "Unknown Database Alias" error when selecting a report to run. |
The Fair Management System Temp directory is either missing or incorrect. To reset the Temp Directory, go Utilities and Select Preferences. Under the "Fair Settings" tab, check the Winfair Temp Folder setting. The entry should be C:\Program Files\Windows Fair Management\Temp\. If that is what displays in the window for the WinfFair Temp Folder simply Click Ok to close the preferences screen. (If the screen is showing the correct information, the problem is that is has not been saved appropriately and simply visiting the screen will force the information to save correctly). If that is not what displays for the Winfair Temp Folder, click on the folder to the right of the window and browse to C:\Program Files\Windows Fair Management\Temp and the Click OK to close the preferences screen. Your reports should now work.
