| How do I backup my data files? |
If you are familiar with copying and pasting documents or file folders, you can use the same procedure to backup your data files. 1) Identify the location of your data files (they could be on a network or on your local computer) by writing down the data path that displays at the bottom of the main screen in Windows Fair Management. The last enry in the path is the folder that contains the data files. 2) Close Windows Fair Management and make sure that it is not running on any other computer. 3) Follow the data path through My Computer or Windows Explorer to the folder containing the data files. example: if the datapath is: C:\Program Files\Windows Fair Management\Data - you would go to My Computer - C: drive - Program Files - Windows Fair Management to find the data folder. 4) Right Click on the folder containing the data files (Data in the example) 5) Click Copy 6) Go to the location you want to copy the backup to (example: CD, flashdrive, desktop) 7) Right Click 8) Paste 9) Once the folder has copied to the location you have chosen for your backup - you can rename the folder to something meaningful like: Fair Data Backup MM-DD-YYYY.
